Nemus Extrait De Parfum

Nemus is Bertrand Duchaufour's amazing creation. The name is again very fitting, a clearing in the summer forest. It smells like the uplifting scent of dry hay and herbs heated in the meadow by the sun, but the next second you feel tall trees enclosing the glade. They smell rich woody, resinous and gloomy - the more you focus on a darker side of the forest, the more nuances you get: the sharp darkness of agarwood, the warm darkness of olibanum, dusky earthy patchouli, dark green fern and geranium. But the aromatic darkness of the forest is still kept at the edges of the sunlit meadow where the light herbal and green smells prevail. The fragrance ends in a conciliating afternoon warmth Ð the darker balsams mix with lighter herbs into a soothing golden powder.
